Alexander Scott Huslage

The night before last, Alex developed a fever. I only know this because he happened to wake up and started talking to himself, while either climbing on me or Aaron. I think the fever may be due to his MMR vaccine, because I’ve read fever and rash can show up 7-12 days after the initial shot. He is in good spirits mostly, and is in fact downright happy when he wakes up at 3:00 am or so – which he’s done two nights in a row now. In addition to not sleeping at night, it seems that he has decided that naps are also a bit pointless. These things do not make for a very happy mommy. I believe the fever is gone now, so hopefully we’ll be able to head to the Y tomorrow during the day sometime. I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but I’m really looking forward to working out tomorrow! I hope I can keep up the excitement!
