I was going to post an update about how our no eating out experiment is going, but you’ll have to wait. Aaron and I are watching Torchwood and I’m totally engrossed.

A New Journey

Aaron and I have decided to try a drastic experiment. Until Labor Day we will not eat out. Now, there are a three exceptions to the rule. 1.) We will go out for special occasions – i.e. Aaron’s father’s birthday, etc. 2.) We will occasionally bring something like Neomonde over to a friend’s house. 3.) [...]

Teething…maybe?

Thankfully the fever is gone, but in it’s wake I think we’re entering into some pretty serious teething. Alex’s hands have been in his mouth a lot today, and he gets seemingly upset for no apparent reason. In fact, tonight he was nearly inconsolable for a good ten minutes or so. Overall the first year check-up went well, until the end. Our doctor was really wonderful with Alex, as were all the support staff. I never felt rushed during the appointment, and really felt like everyone was actually listening to me. The doctor answered all our questions, and really falls in line with our parenting style. [...]

Tomorrow is Alex’s first year appointment and the first appointment with his new doctor. I decided that I wasn’t happy with his pediatrician, and thought it was time that we switched him over to our family practice. I love our doctor, and really didn’t like anyone I met at the pediatrician’s office we were originally [...]
